The Turner 000 Mid Size offer the same feel of its its smaller brother the Turner 00 Size parlor guitar, but plays and sounds like a much larger acoustic guitar. A 12th fret neck join allows easy access to the 12th fret for harmonics and octave notes. A forward shifted larger treble waist and increased 386mm lower bass bout increase both comfort and sound from this traditional shape. The result is a very balanced tone, comparable to the Turner 00 but with greater volume and dynamic range and slightly more low-end response.
Featured here the Turner 80-000. This series of instruments offer premium solid woods, spruce for the guitar top paired with 'solid' rosewood back and sides. Rosewood offers a voluptuous tone range of staggeringly defined depth and beautiful ringing treble, with just a hint of middle cut. Perfect for most playing styles whether it be fingerpicking or strumming rosewood never fails to deliver a signature tone that is easily recognized throughout acoustic guitar history. If you appreciate a traditional wholesome guitar tone that will project your playing superbly then rosewood will reward your investment for years to come.
The Turner 80 Series guitars showcase subtle upgrades including 'Snowflake' fingerboard inlays at the 12th fret on a bound 'Ebony' fingerboard. Decorative body binding, Abalone inlays around the soundhole & upgraded Turner 'custom' tuning pegs.
As a Pro Singer/Songwriter searching for a guitar I tried them all. From top spec £2000 guitars I kept coming back to Turner. Picking up a 72CE it just felt right - from the first stroke, the blend of rich tones played a kind of audio footsie with my senses. Strumming a few chords and then finger picking Dylan’s “Don’t think twice” - I was hooked! - Steve Khan
